HRA's response to the Bush Fire Crisis.

The HRA has been sadened by the news of some members losing their homes in the recent bush fires in Victoria. The events of the past fortnight have devastated whole communities and the HRA committee feel that supporting its members in the first instance is the most appropriate action. Having said that at the Annual General meeting held last Wednesday, the club raised over $3,300 from a special collection at the end of the evening, and our Secretary Rick Hartmann is looking into the most appropriate way to house these and any future "Bush Fire" donations, and their future distributions. Many in the club feel very strongly that charity begins at home and to look after those within the club and within the rallying community is of paramount importance. After all there is nothing stopping members donating to the Red Cross Appeal to assist the many Victorians directly affected by these awful fires.

The club will advise as to actions that we will take and no doubt there will be opportunities for members to help those members affected by these devastating fires.

Our hearts go out to all those effected and particularly those who lost their homes and loved ones. These are trying times and the HRA are committed to assisting where ever possible. More inormation will follow and members can donate still donate money and clothes etc through the normal channels.
