On the 19th of June the HRA , will be running a Hill Climb at Bryant Park, Haunted Hills, Bill Schulz Drive, Yallourn in the Latrobe Valley. Supp regs and entry forms are available to the right side of this page. The event is open to all HRA members, in whatever cars you may wish to run. There will be classes for pre 68 rally cars, pre 81 rally cars, road cars, and modified cars. The event will get underway at about midday and finish at around 7pm.
This would be an ideal event to have a run in the rally car or perhaps an opportunity to bring out “the other car”. Catering will be available on the day, and with a maximum field size of 50 cars, competitors should get in at least 6 runs on the demanding and twisty layout. As we are planning on having at leat one run after dark, some form of lighting on your car may be an advantage.
The event is going to be run under a AASA permit, and all the paperwork refers to AASA, but your CAMS licence and logbook are all recognised, The minimum CAMS equivalent license requirement needed is a Level 2NS licence (the same as for a TRE ). The event will be run like an autocross on bitumen, with scrutiny in the morning, followed by some low speed “follow the leader” laps, then timed runs.
The supp regs list the car scrutiny requirements, and you’ll also need your helmet.
