Annual Trophies and Awards

Each year, the HRA awards these major trophies:

The Wal Harris Memorial Trophy

In memory of one of the club's founding committee members. Awarded to the HRA member considered by the committee to be the most improved navigator in club championship events throughout the year

The John Armitage Memorial Trophy

In memory of a long standing motor sport supporter and founding HRA member.  Awarded to the HRA member considered by the committee to be the most improved driver throughout the year.

Clubman Of The Year

Awarded for outstanding service in club events rendered to the club by a non committee member throughout the year.

The Hilary Garth Memorial Official Of The Year

Awarded for outstanding service in club events rendered to the club by a non-committee member throughout the year.

The Gil Davis Memorial Trophy

In memory of a long standing motor sport supporter and founding HRA member.  Awarded each year to the Masters Champion Driver.  First awarded in 2005.

The Brian "Sonny" Robson Memorial Trophy

In memory of motor sport supporter, rallyist and photographer, Brian Robson.  This trophy was struck after his death and was previously awarded to winners of the Western Regions Series and the Robson Cup series.  The trophy was offered to the HRA in 2005 by Mick Rossi, the "guardian" of the trophy.  Because of the trophy's heritage in navigational events, it was decided to award it each year to the Masters Champion Navigator.  First awarded in 2005.

The HRA also awards these Championship trophies:

H68 Rally Champions

Awarded to winning driver and navigator in an H68 (pre 1968) category vehicle in club championship events throughout the year (Discontinued in 2016)

H81 Champions

Awarded to winning driver and navigator in a H81 (1968 to 1980) category vehicle in club championship events throughout the year

P81 Rally Champions

Awarded to winning driver and navigator in a Production Rally Car (pre 1980) category vehicle in club championship events throughout the year

R25 Rally Champions

Awarded to winning driver and navigator in an R25 category vehicle in club championship events throughout the year (Discontinued in 2016)

Masters Rally Champions

Awarded to winning Drivers and Navigators who must be 55 years or older at the start of the year. Any category of car can be used.

Novice Rally Champions

Awarded to Novices only - both driver and navigator are to be HRA grade C (Victorian E or F) at the start of the year. Any category of car can be used.

Touring Champions

Awarded to winning driver and navigator in the HRA touring series in club championship events throughout the year.
