Yes, we finally have an event…that’s if it stops raining…could someone please ask Dave Gallacher from practicing his Waltz (Read Rain dance!!!!).
The final round of the 2010 VCRS will be run on the 23rd of October in and around Powelltown, after much tooing and froing with the forester we have been granted a few roads to have a play on, albeit not the one we chose first time round, but we do have about 110km competitive with a little more transport kms that we would like at around 80kms.
This Year’s Gil Davis Memorial starters will again flagged off by Marcia Davis at the Powelltown oval at 8pm for a 110kms of straight forward navigation on the best roads available to organizers.
It will be a great fun way to have a final blat through the forest before that summer rebuilds, and you never know the Gil Davis Memorial may even decide the outcome of this year’s VCRS.
As always we will be needing officials, so if everyone please could form an orderly queue in front of officials coordinator Rob Cranston, or just email Rob on: classicstatue AT bigpond DOT com DOT au (without the spaces)
Prospective competitors should contact either Russell Opie on: ropie AT pacific DOT net DOT au or the Event Secretary Mike Foreshew on: mforeshe AT bigpond DOT net DOT au (without any sapces in either address)
Supplementary Regulations and entry form are available in the right sidebar or this page.
Come to Powelltown and enjoy one of the last events for 2010, there will be great food available on the night thanks to the Powelltown Football Club.
