KELLY COUNTRY TRIAL RETURNS

***Newsflash*** EVENT CANCELLED

The North Eastern Car Club’s Kelly Country Trial returns to the calendar this year, with the event scheduled for July 2. Last conducted in 2005, the Kelly Country Trial is round four of the HRA Rally Championship and will start and finish the NECC’s clubrooms at Tarrawingee, 11km from Wangaratta.

The event will again be directed by Peter and Jeff Whitten, with two divisions planned, offering competitors a range of roads and navigation.

After a 4pm start, the first division will entail a distance of around 100km, before a food and refuel stop in Wangaratta at around 6pm. Division 2 will take competitors over approximately 170km of roads, before the finish back at Tarrawingee.

Being a Touring Road Event, sections will include forest driving, as well as bitumen and gravel roads to get you to and from the good bits. It will be suitable for all types of cars, with good roads being the prime objective when selecting the course.

Supp Regs will be available shortly, but in the meantime, any further information can be obtained by contacting Peter Whitten at peter@rallysportmag.com.au
