Historic Rally Association Drive day Sunday 27th May.

Just a late reminder that the next event in a series of drive days will be on this coming Sunday 27th My, 2012. Assemble at BP Service Centre outbound on Princes Freeway at Longwarry North from 9.30 a.m. This is an easy 1 hour drive from Warrigal Rd on the Monash and Princes Freeway – good coffee and ample seating available inside – for a 10.00a.m. start. The drive route covers approx 120 km of roads between Longwarry and Archies Creek via Drouin, Poowong, Bena, and Kongwak. An easy 2 – 2 ½ hr drive over some spectacular drivers roads with great scenery and some points of interest along the way. The drive will also include some old bitumen stages from 1988 -89 Bayswater stages VRC event – to get to this stage we need to use 1.5 km of smooth gravel (I have no problem taking the Mexico road car over it) but there is a bitumen alternative if you don’t want to use the gravel. Lunch organised at Archies on the Creek at 12.30 p.m. with meals around $15 - $20 in the sports bar. Please advise numbers so we can organise group seating at Archies. Bring out your road/ collectors/concourse/rally car for an interesting/ fun/casual day.
