HRAs new Defibrillator & First Aid Training

As you will have seen in the recent edition of the 'HRA News', the committee applied for a community grant last year to fund the purchase of a defibrillator.

The grant application was unfortunately not successful, however we recently received an offer from St John Ambulance to purchase a defibrillator subsidised by them. The committee decided that this was a good idea and so went ahead with the purchase. Thanks to our recently retired president Rob Cranston for championing the idea.

As part of the purchase we are also entitled to a 2 hour first aid training session for up to 30 people which will include instruction in the use of the Defibrillator.

A session has been booked for 7:30pm to 9:30pm on
Monday the 22nd of April at the East Malvern RSL (in the usual meeting room).

The committee feels that as places are limited, the 'best' selection of participants in this first aid course will be comprised of, people who are more likely to be based with the Defibrillator at a Rally HQ such as, directors, secretaries, key officials, general officials and anyone else who would like to attend.

We already have six committee members on the list, which means that there are places for up to 24 more attendees.

If you would like to put your name in the running to attend this course please send an email direct to me at:
