The MG Car Club are the promoters of events at the Historic Rob Roy hill climb. Our premier annual event is the Historic & Classic. This year will be the 22nd event and held on the 24th November.
We have two Club members who recently completed the 2013 Peking to Paris Rally. One in a 1936 MG SA Saloon and another in an EH Holden decked out in Neptune racing colours.
Both these cars will be at Rob Roy on the day and hopefully competing. We are also trying to get the winning car, a Leyland P76 to the event.

Rob Roy is very significant in Australian motor sport history. It is Australia's oldest purpose built hill climb dating back to the 1930's and was the venue for the first Victorian and Australian Hillclimb Championship in 1938.
The annual event engenders a wonderful picnic atmosphere amongst competitors and spectators who attend. For those of your members who may remember them, Rob Roy is now the home of the iconic PBR Brake Shoes that stood for many years at the start line of the old Templestowe track.
Traditionally the meeting has 100 competitors participating in a range of vehicles from classic to the nearly modern. If any members choose to compete, details will soon be posted at www mgcc.com.au.
The venue, off the Eltham - Yarra Glen Road is in a very picturesque setting, with excellent toilet facilities. Full catering on the day is provided by the local Panton Hill CFA who have been associated with Rob Roy for decades and will receive all profits.
