Navigation school reminder and amendments

The first of two navigational schools will be held at the Peugeot Car Club of Victoria rooms at Unit 8, 41-49 Norcal Road Nunawading on Feb 16th at 7pm. This is being conducted by Glad Fish and those entrants for the George Woods Trial are encouraged to participate in the training session prior to the event.

HRA volunteers wanted to help clean up Toorongo Falls Camp Ground.

Here is an opportunity for HRA members to assist in the clean up and preservation of a camping ground situated in the Noojee area, which is a location often used by several rally clubs including the HRA.  

Vehicle eligibility amendments Jan 2009.

After much deliberation, discussion, debate and advice seeking, the committee has approved the following amendments which will take immediate effect. The main aims of the amendments were to keep things simple, keep costs down, keep cars competing, to minimise maintenance requirements and to simplify and streamline the scrutineering process. The changes are:

Vic Rally Dinner and celebration

The annual Vic Rally Dinner celebration is on and should prove to be a great night out!
This year we have a very central location being the Fitzroy Town Hall! (A wonderful old building)

HRA Annual General Meeting announcement.

The annual HRA general meeting is to be held at the East Malvern RSL on Wednesday 11th February at 8pm. This is our annual general meeting and as such nominations for committee positions will be determined. Official notice has been given in the latest edition of the HRA magazine, and nomination forms for the committee member positions are included.

Trailblazer Rally first pics of road surveys.

The Directing team has been hard at work and provided us with some interesting pictures of the road survey. An interesting plaque dedicated to the Late Jim Maude is pictured. Jim at one stage owned the Tooborac Store where many rallies started from over the years. Later on he moved to Heathcote where he owned the Squash Courts and a motel.

A great night was had by all on Wednesday night at the HRA December Christmas general meeting. A traditional Christmas meal was enjoyed by many before the start of the meeting which was a festive and fun time.

The 2009 Trailblazer Rally first run in 1984 by Helen Lister for the MMALCC is a combination of two Tours and a Touring Road Event that winds its way through areas of significance pertaining to Rally history in the region.

christmas bellsThe December meeting of the HRA is our special Christmas event with lots of hampers to be won, raffles, awards to be presented and generally a great night to be had by all!

A Christmas dinner will be available for those wishing to arrive early at a very reasonable $25 per head. Presentations will be made for the Rich River Trial, as well as our Annual Awards:
