Red Centre to Gold Coast IS on as planned

When it was announced that Rally Australia would be run in Queensland in 2008, Bob Watson had the idea to run the Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial as an outback event, finishing at Rally Australia.

Rally Australia has since been deferred until at least 2009, but it is the wish of the majority of paid entrants in the Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial that the event go ahead as planned.

Progress for 2008 Old BP Rally

Since outlining initial philosophy and plans, I have made a few forays into the countryside and can report that the route is 95% planned and confirmed in the field. The next step is getting appropriate authorities and residents to agree. That may not be so easy.

Tayell Automotive TA results now available

Clerk of Course Rick Hartmann has released version 2 of the event results - now available on the Tayell Automotive TA page

There will be lots of happy competitors getting awards at the December club night - there were an amazing number of equal placings, including four crews on equal second outright!  Congratulations to all of you!

Federal Election interrupts Alpine Rally

The Federal Election has been scheduled for day 1 of the Alpine Rally - inconsiderate really, given the Alpine was on the calendar for the past 12 months!

Tayell Automotive TA - Touring finale for 2007

The Tayell Automotive Touring Assembly is the final round of this years HRA Touring Championship, on Sunday 21st of October 2007. Clerk of Course Rick Hartmann has released Additional Information for competitors and an Entry List as of 19:30 on 14/10/07.  There is still space for more competitors, and Rick is encouraging members to enter.

Club Meeting this week

The bi-monthly HRA Club Meeting is on this Wednesday, October 10.  There will be presentations for the Rich River Trial and Bagshot Rallysprint.  As well, expect the usual news and updates on what is going on in the club and sport, including info on our last two events for the year - the Tayell Automotive TA on 21 October and the

2007 Tayell Automotive Touring Assembly

This year’s Tayell Automotive Touring Assembly will be conducted in the Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula area.

As always, the Tayell Automotive Touring Assembly has been designed to suit all levels of competitors; novice or experienced, our aim is not to get anyone hopelessly lost, just a little confused as to the exact location of a via point or two.

Plans for 2008 Old BP Rally

The following is based on a short talk I gave at the October HRA meeting. After a chat with Stuart Lister on the boat home from the Tasmania Old BP event, he asked me to summarise for members my proposals for the 2008 Old BP Rally (of South Eastern Australia).

HRA Championship Progress Scores available

Club Scorer, Dave Gallacher, has released the latest HRA Championship progress scores - after five Rally rounds and three Touring rounds.  They are on the 2007 HRA Championship Scores page.  Things are very close indeed...

Blue Ribbon Results
