SCC 2017 Rally Championship
SCC 2017 Autocross/Rallysprint Championship
Are you able to read a map? Or are you a slave to your satnav?
We are again running this popular event generally in the “Drains” country, using quiet bitumen and gravel roads.
The event is designed so that any family car can compete. Last time the event ran it was won by a crew in a Toyota Prius!
I am pleased to announce that our Major Sponsor Resto Country Spares is with us again this year.
Please thank Marty and Russell for their support and if you need either early Holden or Ford Spares please support them
They can be found at https://www.kingswoodcountry.com.au/
Our two Calendars for the year are now complete.
Thank you to all who supported this event...probably our most successful event to date and it was designed with the SCS in mind.
15 entries (two withdrew and we were missing a few regulars) so we had 13 starters and 10 finishers.
Thanks also to those who did not enter but came up to official.
This event will run in 2017 in a similar format and probably at the same time of the year.
There has been a bulletin released for the Magical Ironbark Tour - here
The preparations for our next rally event are well underway.
The Magical Ironbark Tour is on Saturday August 6th.
Here is a preamble for the event which is designed for our series..
The Magical Ironbark Tour details, Supp. Regs. and Entry Form are now available here
We also have coming up a round of the Autocross Series.
It is “Back to the Future” for this 2016 Event so the early founders of the HRA tell me.
An old fashioned TRE…some Closed Road go fast sections along with day and night time Touring.
A big month for our series has just concluded.
Three events that covered three Australian states...how good is that for a bunch of drivers, navigators in their Resto Country Standard Car Series vehicles.
I have attached the updated score sheets which, thanks to Owen Polanski, are now divided into classes.
Results are in from last Sundays Autocross at Avalon
What a great day...weather great, track good, and as usual efficiently organised.
We had 13 competitors spread across two classes and as usual competition was close.
The Swedes dominated Class B over the Orientals and the French fought amongst themselves for Class C...!
Class winners on the day
Our first Resto Country Standard Car Series Rally has come and gone.
The George Woods Rally...Directed by our own Nick Wright with Ray Garrad as Road Director.
Results are Provisional now and I am hoping they stay as is...if not will re-issue the score sheet which is attached.
