Standard Car Class news – April 2022

Some very entertaining events in the next few months, so a clean of the headlamps and windscreen is in order.

Autocross 17 April – maybe?

In the Autocross series there is a round scheduled for April 17. However, this is still not confirmed. All those registered for the Series will receive confirmation one way or the other very soon.

Camcrusher Regularity Rally, 7 May

Entries are now open for our next regularity rally on Saturday May 7th: the Camcrusher Regularity Rally run out of Marysville by FFCC.

You will enjoy 75km of competitive distance commencing at 3:30pm with a combination of daylight and evening stages. Please do support this event strongly, put on primarily for our group by Ford Four.

Enter early – the Marysville Stages (run alongside the Camcrusher) will be popular and the VCRS competition is also a round of the HRA Rally Championship. There will be lots of friendly HRA faces there to assist or cheer you on! Entry form at http://www.spring200.com/competitors/

Dan Murphy Memorial Regularity Rally, Saturday May 28.

Based at the Korweinguboora Recreation Reserve in Spargo Creek we will venture to the forests on the other side of Melbourne this time. Entries will be open in the next few weeks and those registered for the SCC will receive notification by e-mail, as well as the HRA website and HRA social media.

Avalon Autocross, 19 June

Another Avalon Autocross is planned for June 19th to keep your eye in and interest levels high. Details when available.

The return of the Experts, 23 July

The highlight of the SCC year so far will of course be the return of the Experts Trial, albeit in the form of a Navigational Tour. Details are:

  • 2022 Experts Re-visited Navigational Tour
  • Saturday 23rd July
  • Afternoon touring followed by evening and night touring in the Heathcote forest.
  • All maps supplied.
  • Road Director Phil Nicholas.
  • Basic Speed Licence required.
  • Based at Heathcote Showground, catering by Heathcote Show Society.
