Phil Nicholas and I hope to to bring you an event that gives crews a taste of what it was like to compete in an Experts Trial. We cannot use the format of past Experts Trials these days, so we thought a Navigational Tour (Assembly) using the areas traversed in the past would appeal to crews.

IMPORTANT
The approvals for this event are based on the requirement for all competing crews to obey Victorian Road Laws, especially the various Speed Limits imposed around the course.

We don’t pretend that the event will be easy. The Heathcote Forest is a daunting place sometimes, especially at night, and it will be utilized after an afternoon event in other areas, also used in previous Experts. Treat it as a challenge..!

This event can be run by a relatively Standard Road Car. For competing car set-up we suggest the following:

A reliable Trip Meter
An accurate compass
Interior Navigation light(s)
Warm Clothing (wrist/neck and ankle cotton base)
An efficient car heater.
A set of Safety Triangles.
A Sump Guard is preferred however (you will know where to take it easy..!)

We will supply the Route Instructions and Event Maps.

Mobile phones will be sealed prior to the start (can be opened during the event with the listed penalty).

There will be food available at the break between the Afternoon and Evening events the Heathcote Showgrounds. There will be a Peter Fraser BBQ at the conclusion of the event.
