Fontainbleu Dam Tour  – Saturday 22 October

To celebrate the HRA’s 30th Anniversary with a bit of HRA fun.

Breakfast, Tour, Coffee, Tour, Dinner and if you’re keen, breakfast again!

Starting with a Hot BBQ Breakfast in Knoxfield (at ProRally Fabrications), the HRA tourists will make their own way to Gisborne where a very simple tour will commence, including a Coffee break at Tooborac. You will visit Romsey, Lancefield, High Camp, Jim Maude’s Cairn and finish at the newly renovated Fontainbleu Dam picnic reserve in the Heathcote Forest around 4:30 pm. BYO supplies for dinner which can be cooked on the new BBQ’s at the reserve.

Party on around the fire and camp if you wish, or retire to a nearby motel / Bed ‘n’ Breakfast / Hotel in Heathcote, Nagambie, Rushworth or similar for Saturday night, but, don’t delay your booking. Accommodation in the area is already getting tight.

Good facilities in the renovated Fontainbleu Picnic Area. Stay over!

Drop back to Fontainbleu Dam for breakfast on Sunday before taking in some private touring in the area, maybe a visit to a few wineries, before heading back home.

Of course, you can just make the short trip back home on Saturday after dinner and a yarn.

The route is entirely suitable for a normal road car, but there will be some unsealed roads including getting to Fontainbleu Dam.

Saturday Breakfast only? Why not!
You are welcome to come for breakfast only on Saturday too, begins at 8:30 am

Intending tourists should advise of your attendance and indicate if you are just doing breakfast, the whole tour, camping overnight and / or coming to breakfast on Sunday .

Please confirm with Robert Cranston. phone 0414 560 688 or e-mail classicstatue@bigpond.com.au

It’s a rocky road between Romsey and Tooborac…
